YUSUF / CAT STEVENS, EL ÉXITO DE UNA METAMORFOSISStarlite Occident recibirá por primera vez a Yusuf / Cat Stevens, el miércoles 21 de junio, lo que representa una oportunidad verdaderamente única de ver al clásico cantautor y disfrutar en directo de su épico catálogo de canciones, que incluye temas como 'Wild World', 'Father and Son', 'Peace Train' y 'The Wind'. Esta será la primera actuación de Yusuf en España desde 1976.
Tras seis décadas de carrera estelar, Yusuf / Cat Stevens sigue creando música que refleja su viaje de descubrimiento personal y verdad interior. El próximo álbum "King Of A Land" es un clásico de Yusuf / Cat Stevens, repleto de melodías cautivadoras y letras imaginativamente poéticas, que pintan una imagen vívida y atractiva del mundo tal y como podría ser.
Yusuf / Cat Stevens ha sido incluido tanto en el Salón de la Fama del Rock & Roll como en el Salón de la Fama de los Compositores, y ha vendido más de 100 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo, entre ellos los multiplatino "Tea for the Tillerman" y "Teaser and the Firecat". Su música siempre se ha centrado en la búsqueda de la iluminación espiritual y la paz.
Desde los años 70, Yusuf / Cat Stevens trabaja directamente en los campos de la ayuda humanitaria y la educación. YUSUF / CAT STEVENS, THE SUCCESS OF A METAMORPHOSISStarlite Occident will welcome for the first time ever Yusuf / Cat Stevens on Wednesday, June 21st, which represents a rare chance to see the classic singer-songwriter, now in his 70s, draw from his epic catalogue of songs that includes ‘Wild World’, ‘Father and Son’, ‘Peace Train’ and ‘The Wind’. This will be Yusuf’s first performance in Spain since 1976.
Six-decades into a stellar career, Yusuf / Cat Stevens continues to make music that reflects his journey of personal discovery and inner truth. The forthcoming album ‘King Of A Land’ is classic Yusuf / Cat Stevens, bursting with captivating melodies and imaginatively poetic lyrics that paint an enticing, vivid picture of the world as it could be.
Yusuf / Cat Stevens has been inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide – including the multi-platinum selling ‘Tea for the Tillerman’ and ‘Teaser and the Firecat’. On every step of the way his music has always been centred upon the search for spiritual enlightenment and a quest for peace.
Since the 1970s Yusuf / Cat Stevens has worked directly in the fields of humanitarian aid and education. He raises funds and supports the victims of both natural and man-made disasters through his own global Peace Train initiative, with its mission to “Feed the Hungry and Spread Peace”.
